Zimbabwe’s largest National Park
Not far from Victoria Falls where Zimbabwe’s largest National Park is we find Hwange. It is home to 20,000 elephant. In the dry season – you will enjoy the sightings around the waterholes as you get about 100 mammal species and 400 bird species
Hwange is the largest National Park in the country covering 14,651 square kilometres and is particularly known for having more animals than any other park in Zimbabwe. Hwange National Park is known as the “Jewel of Africa” for its large herds of buffalo, its predators & its huge numbers of African elephants
Hwange National Park is home to the big five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino. There are other game that we also find in the National Park including giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, sable, eland, roan, hippo, hyena, jackal, and cheetah. Over 400 species of birds have sighted here.
