Lake Kariba
Lake Kariba popularly known for tiger fishing. Kariba also offers great game viewing and houseboats. It is one of the largest man-made lakes in the world.
Located on the north eastern border with Zambia, Lake Kariba is where the Zambezi River has been dammed up downstream from the Victoria Falls. The lake covers an area of 5,180 square kilometres. Built to produce hydroelectric power, the Lake is surrounded by a wilderness area. The largest fishing tournament – Tiger Fishing Tournament is held every year in October. Houseboat holidays are very popular here
